SPORT ACTIVITIES

Diving

The waters of East Bali boast some of the most beautiful scuba diving sites in Indonesia. Information on all dive sites in the area and can easily arrange daily dive trips for certified divers and introductory dives and PADI courses for novices.

Trekking

East Bali offers some of the island’s finest trekking, ranging from walks through rural villages, tropical forest and terraced rice fields, to mountain climbs and temple visits.

White water rafting

An exhilarating rafting excursion on the Telaga Waja River in Karangasem challenges the brave at heart. Classified as a Class IV river (Class III being the easiest) the trip starts in Muncan and takes on rapids down a gentle gradient towards the coast.  The excursion takes approximately one full day.

Surfing

Jasri Beach is a good surfing beach, despite that there are not many surfers here.  This is practically one of the most deserted East Bali Beaches. So if you feel like having waves all to yourselves, this beach is a great option. The waves which come from the right can be tackled by beginners and experienced surfers. Be careful though when it becomes shallow as the surface is very rocky which can cause severe cuts and bruises.

Snorkeling

Don’t miss the chance to go on a day trip to Jemeluk Bay in Amed or Tulamben – one of the best dive and snorkel sites on the island. The snorkeling is amazing here that can be reached from the shore or a local "Jukung". To Blue Lagoon, Jepun, Goat Island and many more.  A great activity for those travelling with kids.

White Sand Beach

Head off for White Sand Beach, a pristine cove without the usual Bali crowds – a big favorite with our guests! One of the last Virgin beaches left in Bali, with a beautiful white sand beach and tropical palm trees. A few local restaurants here with fresh fish.

Biking and Cycling

What better way to explore the neighboring area at your own leisurely pace than on a bicycle.  Explore the nearby villages on your own and feel the local vibe, or discover East Bali on a guided, off the beaten track mountain bike tour. This adventure brings you through various vegetation levels, passing the rice paddy fields, to the famous White Sand Beach, where you can cool off in the sea.

Sunrise Volcano Trekking

Mount Agung is Bali’s highest mountain, standing at 3,142 meters above sea level, and is also considered its holiest, believed to be the home of the Gods. The most challenging experience in Bali, physically fit hikers can trek up to the summit in about 4-5 hours from the Pasar Agung Temple starting point, and in about 5 to 7 hours from the Besakih Temple starting point. At the summit you will be rewarded with memories that will last a lifetime. Good shoes, water, snacks, a jacket for the chilly summit and a hat are the must bring items for this activity. During important ceremonies at the Besakih Temple it is forbidden to climb the holy mountain, and from November to March during the island’s rainy season it can be deemed too dangerous to make the trek.
